BSA A70 Lightning 750cc 1972
This is one of the first BSA A70L built already in June 1971 for 1972 season.
Finally they had built 201 production bikes in August in order to be certified for racing with 750cc engines in AMA class C.
Dick Mann, Jim Rice, Don Emde and others used it but it helped Dick Mann in the end of the season to win National #1 a second time.
Our A70 frame was painted in Dove Grey which is indeed rare.
PS if you look at the right side close up you'll see behind the oil in frame down tube a externally oil filter kit. It is connected to the oil return side.
