Look out for Ferrari drivers

Here is a picture of my 1954 Road Rocket that I completed a full nut and bolt restoration on, on October the 8th 2009.
This pic was taken on October the 11th 2009, it was it's first run with the BSA club of Vic. Australia.

Are you ok? Was the bike insured? Was the Ferrari driver in the wrong? That must have been heartbraking.

I hope you recover well, Andy. Looking at your portrait I guess you'll spend Christmass in a hospital bed.
What a mess. I hope the Ferrari is is a write off. What an @sshole.

My best wisshes for you and the other bike rider.

Glad to hear your o.k. I almost taken out by a Ferrari myself on the A6 east of Saarbrucken on my way home from the Isle of Man after the Manx at about 11pm. I hear him first and then saw his lights and less than a sec. later saw the s.o.b. slam on his brakes, swerve around me. My ass was clinched for the 60km then I was home.

Apparently $$$ + balls = Ferrari but common sense is extra

G'day Andy,
Sorry to read about this bad news. Hopefully, you'll be recuperating and taking it easy at the moment. I'm also located in Melbourne and my brother is doing up a 55 Road Rocket. He has a 56 as a donor bike so a few spares are floating around, located in Hurstbridge. I'm in Sunbury..
Drop me a line some time and we can organise to catch up.

Cheers & Beers

Best of luck with recovery Andy.

I spoke to John Williams of the Beezer Club shortly after this happened and my blood ran cold when he described what had occured, I and friends had been on the GOR a week before.

Presumably you are still recovering so I will email you and maybe drop off a stack of old Classic Bike mags if you would like that ?
