My 71 Lightning

She's still a project, but I got the carbs sorted out and she runs good.

Jon:
Far as I know it's a 73 Triumph front end, Lockheed disc, with a 70? Honda master cylinder. Works well, but I need a shorter top line to make it pretty with the low bars.
That's the way I got it, and one of the main selling points for me when I first saw the ad. I had that front end/brake on my 74 Trident, and I love it.

I have pictures from the other side, but the light is better from this side.

OK, now you have three images.
The third one is the way the bike looked when I bought it. The exhaust ports have adapters to use Triumph pipes, so I got a set of straight 1.75" pipes off fleaBay and some cheap silencers. This Winter those adapters will get properly welded in place.

Looks good David, disc brake is a neat addition. I did that on a '66 Triumph once. Worked really well. Dick

Thanks for the info and the extra pics. It looks really nice !!

I have a set of disc front end triple trees I may use on my 1971 BSA. I'll just need to collect the rest of the parts when the time comes.
