Britbike forum Forums Thread Like Summary - Today's ride

I've ridden in this area several times, but I never climbed up Black Mountain. Real hikers get there via the Cumberland Trail, but there's a parking lot only a mile away for the flatlanders. I started out on Deep Draw Road, a fine twisty road which crosses Byrd's Creek.
The road up to the trailhead is quite narrow. It reminded me of the pictures you Brits post of your rides on 'the lanes.'
A moderate hike and I arrived at the first overlook. I think there are three overlooks, the whole loop is about 2 1/2 miles.
It helps to be a bit of a hillbilly to climb about the rocks at the top.

It's a long story my friend but when you wear a BSA shirt you "should" actually like them IMO.

He's riding Triumphs....... but wearing that shirt so he'll do better with the women in the pub!!!!

Long time ago, when Adam was a boy I had a 1952 Triumph sprung hub Tiger 100.
Bloody thing tried to kill me.
That is when I found that BSA suited me better
