I thought it was kind of funny that the camera didn't bounce coming off the jumps.

I think you can program the newer drones to track to an object, like a helmet.

The quality of the footage for the downhill bicycling was so good that I thought it was fake, but apparently not. Makes the descent of Bray Hill (Isle of Man) look vaguely sane.

To jump on the back of Dibnah's comment.

Danny Macaskil's skills are different to the downhill biking video posted at the start of this but nonetheless amazing. I too remember being amazed by his original film and his subsequent ones have been equally impressive.

Here is his original:

I'd love to see him and Toni Bou playing around.

I worked an International Trial in Pa one time. I had a hard time getting up the hill to the practice area! I never saw a section, but the practice area was impressive.

Gotta be gifted! I couldn't do half of that if I had started in the cradle. And I'm getting worse!

Just finished watching “My Ride, My Life”…by Toni Bou. I’m at work and don’t know how to attach it through my phone.

Another amazing human doing what seems to be impossible.

Toni Bou

Do you think that ANYBODY could do this with enough practice.....or do you think some folks are just gifted?

Gordon

It'd be interesting to set that boy at one of these "unclimbable" hills, where guys attack it all day on 20-foot-long fuelie hillclimbers, and make it 2/3 of the way up. I'll bet he'd just wheelie his way on to the top without blinking ....

It would appear that the fastest time in the prolog qualifier sets the starting position; a trials bike would probably finish last in the prolog

Technical spec states that "trial tyres may not be used" and no changing of bikes i.e. the bike used in the prolog has to be used throughout. Regs link as a pdf on this page https://www.redbullerzbergrodeo.com/view/p53/reglement

Its an Enduro race.

A trials bike may well get over some of the technical stuff a bit better but it would be stone last due to its lack of speed.
