Needs to be complete and together - any condition from non-running project to runner. Can't use a bike in baskets nor a concours restoration (and by that I mean I can't pay a concours price, not that I wouldn't like a concours bike!). "Period Correct" bike OK, need not be matching.
Lannis--ref the A7 Shooting Star in Oregon---just some comments FYI. Not so much to put you off but perhaps rather to give you some negotiating points. I bought my first A7 Shooting Star in 1964 (a 1960 model) and after a gap of some years again have a 1960 A7 Shooting Star. They are IMHO a very nice bike--not so fast as the A10 but smoother and a nicer ride. My comments: -- Should have pear shaped gas tank badge -- No front fender -- Front and rear brake plates should have black centers -- Should not have an air filter (but better off with one!) -- Non standard gas taps -- Should have nacelle not a separate headlight -- Should have a chronometric speedo.
For your interest I attach a photo of my current A7 Shooting Star I bought it in 2010 and had to go to UK to see it and buy it! Maybe Oregon is not that far! HTH
