I just completed the purchase of a Rickman 8 valve. I haven't been able to come up with a manual for the engine. It 's a Rickman head on what appears to have been built with late T120 engine casings. It has the early alloy cylinder with liners. That would make it a 700. I've got a few weeks of work planned for it but it would be great if I could be put in touch with someone who has experience with this unusual Triumph based special. Any assistece or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bob Verhasselt
Modified mine, changed rockers to roller tips. changed from the fat 7mm valves to XR200 5.5mm stems. Adjustment is by 600 four cylinder shims under the 5/16" lash cap held by the spring collar.
Thanks to all who helped me get the Rickman back on the road after a long, long sleep. Took it out today for a 25 mile shakedown. All went well. Very fast and very light!
