This is the beginning of yet another 1955 Triumph in the Members Projects section. After circling this pile for two years I finally dragged it home on 9/25/09. I have a number of parts to locate; lower legs, handlebars and all controls, centerstand, sidestand, rear shocks, but nothing too daunting. The bike came with the "Sport" tank but I am already considering sourcing the larger tank as I prefer its lines on the bike. It is a numbers matching machine and all housings are in great shape. It has been stored in bits for many many years so I am fortunate that this much survived to tell the tale. I look forward to bringing it back from being long dead.

After 11 years in boxes at my place and an untold number of years laying in bits in a pole building (I am guessing onward of 30 years) it is extremely satisfying to have this engine together!!!!

It seemed only proper to give it a new patent plate since it is a total restoration. Nickel rivets used instead of the brass rivets included with the plate.

Lots of years sitting in boxes to get to this point! NOS babbit rods fit perfect!

You are probably used to seeing the timing disc fixed to the DRIVE side...
