Hillbilly Bike aka Tony has left the building

I am sorry to report Tony Pascarella died this morning. As many know he was a frequent contributor here and on Wild Goose MotoGuzzi, Triumph Rat and other Engine mechanics sites. In addition to the many bikes he owned and built he also built many vintage trucks. Tony was raised in New Jersey, served in the US Army, and ended up moving to Rochester NY. I met him here on Britbike after buying my first Triumph about nine years ago.
He has been instrumental in my British and general mechanic's education.

An impressive man

He is survived by his wife Joy.
God bless and Godspeed.

Had a lot of great interactions, advice, and stories with and about him both here as "Hillbilly Biker" and in Guzzi world under other screennames.

He'll be missed by everyone that got help from him ....

I believe that he was "Rough Edge Racing" on wildguzzi.com.

I'm not a member there any more, so I can't do any searches.

Sad news. He will be missed, especially by those of us in the land speed racing community. I only met him briefly at Loring, and was honored to be an inspector on his twin engined Triumph when it came to Loring, unfortunately after Tony had stopped coming, but he definitely shared the desire to build things as I have - - hot rods, trucks, and of course, motorcycles.

Tony was Rough Edge Racing and Road Rocket on Wild Goose. One of his LSR bikes was a Guzzi which I now own.

May you rest in peace, Tony. I will of course put the T140 pistons you sent me to good use.

...I am returning from a few days on the black top and the first thing when I clicked the forum was to see what was happening with Tony; if still with us but I see that he passed away.
He was strong to confront the Death that way.
I am very sad; he was a good person with me and helped me with logistics there too, due to I am not in USA, since the time that he joined the Jockey journal forum.
Hope he died without too much pain.

-Lately I am thinking too much in all the people that I know that are dying and I arrived to a point that sadness and a void or hole feeling arise that seems is a fear to be alone (I do not have a Wife or kids) in the near future

Damn, I didn't even know he was in bad health. He will be missed, I enjoyed his down to earth approach to engineering, as his moniker so aptly described in a word. I bought a pair of pistons he offered me for a nominal sum, and he was quick to offer other stuff too if he thought I could use it. I enjoyed our (all too infrequent) eMail exchanges off line, loaded with insights. interspersed with some gentle banter.

What a guy. Wish I knew him in person.

It would be good to have a woman in your life. And, since you are single, you could take the time to find the right woman for you, that understands and shares your love for the things that you are passionate about and most interested in. They are out there if you look hard enough.

...is somewhat difficult to explain all the variables here; I understand hope; that is what maintaining us on the run but in some cases is like saying to a blind that he will see again...
