I need a new set of mudguards or get the ones I have chromed. Anyone have a rough idea of chroming cost? The one I have I did get rechromed 30 years ago.

I've also noticed mudguards from India on Ebay anyone had any expedience buying them?

Cheers

I ordered and received a fender from India last year for my A65. $128 shipped (they're $110 today).

Dimensionally good, seemingly sufficient sheet metal gauge, correctly rolled edges, and nice chrome. From "scootershop9910". I'd buy from them again.

Peter Quick at BSA Unit Singles has a pretty large selection of fenders, some alloy, some stainless steel and some original "made in uk" pattern chrome ones.

All around (ish) the Indian price break.

His ad is at the bottom of the page.

Do a search on the site for B44. Chromed ones and painted ones.

As far as I can tell the vendors in India who sell motorcycle tin wear simply sub out the ordrs as they come in as all of the photos are the same and often not the item you are ordering.
As such the quality of the items vary greatly even for the same vendorfrom reprocessed oil drums ( the original BP paint was underneath the top coat ) with every tab & hole in the wrong place to near perfect reproduction so it is somewhat of a lottery.
Tinwear that originates from India and is sold through a reputable retailer tends to be some what better quality as I presume they do a QC check & send back the stuff that is obviously under par .
So as long as you are happy to gamble , no problems
For a daily rider or club bike it is not so much of a problem as it is for a show stopping resoration .
Your bike your choice .
