Tom….IF there is anything I can to help save his work just let me know. I don’t want them for myself. I’d like to see his work be available for folks to enjoy.

But……I had no clue he sold some of his work and that might complicate things.

I realize there are links to what’s out there now but wonder what happens to it if payments stop ( I’m assuming there are payments?)

I know you miss him……and you know I’m sorry we lost him.

Like Lannis said…….he will not be forgotten.

Godspeed Kevin, see you later on the other side.

Far too late, but now I can put a face to a name.

Gordon

The short-answer sure thing would be to keep Kev’s Zenfolio acct active… of course that costs $$. Also, not sure tho about accessing it long term without his password! Could be problematic.

Meanwhile, I’m kinda on the “wait and see plan” here to find out whether or not Kev actually did get around to putting his pix on some sort of hard drive. I figure whenever his brother goes thru everything he’ll find it if it’s there? But who knows too, if zkev had a will? Assuming he did, and thinking back to my convo with him, maybe there’s some provision in the will that will allow for…. ?something? to be done to preserve his photos.

I’ll talk to Shaun over the weekend to see if he’s in touch with Kev’s fam. I know Shaun’s son Mark could easily hack into probably any thing Kev would have his photos on… so maybe we could get permission to do so and lay hands on a laptop or whatever?

And to your point, if by some chance I do get Kev’s photos… it’d be to keep them alive, not so much for myself. I was thinking maybe I’d start a Kevin Dean Memorial Photo Thread… although admittedly the thought is sorta half formed!

So one thing we can do now- is see KEV’s Wordpress Blog Posts - Back Street Thunder.

He’d fallen off it recently but there’s plenty to see including photos accompanying each post.

Sorry to learn of Kev's passing. First time I met him he stayed up until 2 AM waiting for a bunch of us to make it from Liverpool to the Plough pub in Two Dales. It was cold and rainy and when we finally arrived, Kev and Graham and Ed were there cooking us breakfast. I was tired and just wanted to crash in a big marquee tent that was set up for an event in the field behind the pub. Kev said no, and explained that they would be tearing that tent down about 6 in the morning, and wouldn't appreciate a free lodger sleeping in there. So I set up my tent and hit the hay. Sure enough, the crew was there tearing the big tent down at 6 AM just as he predicted. He was a big dude with a big heart and made me feel very welcome in England.

Yeah that was something! What a great memory.
Here’s shot of Kev at Brooklands with Lannis and Fay on our last day of that 2008 trip
