If you haven't been to a BB.c get together, think about it. The next one coming up will the the Three States Mountain Ride out of Shady Valley Tn.

All the information you need is on the three states mount ride board down below in the Events section.

Three STATE Mountain Ride. 25th Anniversary of the first gathering of BritBike.com members,

May 15-21 2023

The actual ride happens on Saturday May 20 leaving Shady Valley TN around 9:30 am (?) It’s a guided motorcycle ride through TN,VA and NC…..less than 200 miles with gas and lunch stops. Chase vehicle provided,

The ā€œbase campā€ is at Windy’s campground in Shady Valley TN and several members will be there all week. Rides out will take place most days. Campfire gatherings every evening where we will solve world problems and swap tall tales.

There's a group dinner after the ride on Saturday. Our host Windy and his better half put that on..(bless them)...there's a small charge per plate. Other food during the week.... is on the attendee but a lot of the "ride out's" involve finding a place to eat.........and there are SEVERAL good options in the area.

The campground has PLENTY of room for camping and has a bath house w/restrooms. IF you’re not into camping there are motels and house/apartment rentals available ( ask for more information on the TSMR forum)

All two/three wheel vehicles are welcome. The main focus has always been vintage Brit bikes but it doesn’t matter what you bring to ride. There’s usually an extra bike or two to use as loaners if your’s has a problem.

Got questions????? Windy is the host, guide and campground owner. He’d be more than happy to answer questions. PM him or ask your question on the TSMR forum.

Hope to see you there!!!

It would be nice to see some new faces as the regular ones are getting a little long in the tooth.

I think we might have one new attendee this year. I've been in contact with a BB poster from down the road in Monterey who is keen on coming this year. Just what we need, another dang Norton rider!

Around this time last year we went to the beach to visit Mr Mike.

1. Risky time of year
2. Rent sides for ALL canopies.
3. Make sure Willie and Linda get a double "next time"
4. NEVER.......I mean NEVER underestimate the cooking/preparing skills of Ms Laurie. Mike had to have had a hand it it too. Order other food accordingly.

That was a good time BUT the wind was cold and unrelenting. At least it was not foggy and there was no rain unlike the TSMR is known for.

Yea I figure it was going to be risky that time of year. Weather wise. We just missed the rain.

But when trying to plan an event…….all the better dates are already taken. I picked the TSMR’s date as early as possible ( and we still saw ice) so as not to interfere with the other vintage events going on.

The ā€œBeachā€ thing was a one and done deal…….I’m finally out of event planning.

It was a good long run with lots of fond memories.

I didn't make it to the beach, but I really enjoyed the BritBike Reunion Rally in Suches. We all appreciated your getting us all together for a great weekend. laugh

Thank you David

The reunion rally turned out better than I expected. It was a bit disappointing more ole Mid-Ohio folks didn’t show up but we had a good turn out regardless.

A BIG part of the success was getting extra help from the ā€œlocalsā€. Greg, Bill and Marlin really stepped up and it made a huge difference.

First time ever….. that I set up a kitchen area then just stood back and watched it being used……hats off to all those folks who stepped up to cook and feed the group…..especially Bob.

I let 1000 sf of canopies go after that one……bless those folks a TWOS for taking them for me. Of course I had to turn around and rent canopies at the beach because I had given mine away. But I didn’t have to put them up and take them down that time.

Over the years………lots of smiling faces made it all worthwhile. I’d sit there and watch people talking and laughing…….folks that probably wouldn’t have ever met each other if it weren’t for bb.com

Yea……the 10th. I did forget about that one. Got that rental grill…..made sure it had a skillet option. I don’t think I even lit that thing just stood around and let others use it.

We’ve been blessed with some good times.
