Hi all, New here. Can I ask what's involved to get a set of B50 triple clamps/forks to fit on a B44 head/frame. Would really appreciate some advice. Thanks Gav

They sell a conversion kit……BSA Unit Singles should have them.

I did it a long time ago and had to make up some shims/adapters to accept the different bearings……much simpler now.

Did it to one of my B44s, well worth it.

In this vid he didn't use the kit ...... much simpler to use one! he also kept the original wheel.
I did it this way initially, but soon changed to a conical hub and 21" wheel, again simpler and well worth doing.

It does not look as though he made his adapters long enough to accommodate the bearing seals. I've done a couple of these conversions and I make the adapters longer with a tapered top hat as shown here:

The top hat portion has to be chamfered on top and bottom to clear the triple clamps, but comes out better looking as well.

Anything worth doing is worth doing well. Steve said that. Anything worth doing well is worth teaching to others. I said that.
