Hi Folks anyone know what this carb would have come off

Its a monoblock 389/I2, i'm guessing the other stamp is a date stamp (july 1969), were carbs date stamped?

Looking at the angle on the bush where the needle goes in it looks like it was made for alcohol fuels...

Hi is, I thought that initially, but the one looked more like an "I", which had me wondering.

Also, if the date stamp is real, it wouldn't match with the models indicated.

Anyone else seen dates stamped on carbs?

Come to think of it I don't think any monoblocks would have been made in 69????

I am sure AMAL would make a replacement carb back in the day stamped with whatever. Burlen will still do that now!
I have around 40 Monoblocs (note, no k) and from around 1965, all were stamped with the date as well as the reference number
