Finally, something else at the top of the list!

Photos have different seats,….side covers,….fenders,… Same bike? Calendar Photo? 🧐 Better call’em.

This bike and tank have been on Craigslist for months which in itself doesn't mean anything negative, but one wonders why neither have sold.

In the first pic, it looks like Ceriani forks and a full-width hub with an 8" brake ala 1966-1967 Triumph 650 and 1968 Daytona 500.

Here's the third pic in the ad, with what is most likely the extra tank.

Well, I guess this is another ad posted by an individual that is not really interested in selling or clear advertisement. I’m not interested, but thought someone here might want to solve the bizarre random ad mystery and contact him. (Assuming him) I think its really odd a person is savvy enough to have an CL acct, pay the selling fee, post photos, and then not have many words clearly describing the item for sale. And then renew the ad again? Something is off here……. Watsonville is not too far from the bay area to make a weekend foray down to Carmel for fun, and then over there to get the picture. Years ago I got a clap-trap Barn find ‘69 Lightning out of that still rural area.

Asked which photo is the bike for sale: reply
“The red one in the first pic is the 1966 hornet”

If I had any money or space for another bike, I would have tried to jump on Hillbilly's A10 when he offered it for sale (since removed) I don't see a trip to Watsonville for me in the near future unless someone on the list is seriously interested in this bike and needs something.

IMHO,…. And I’m not in the must-have Hornet group, there’s too much not correct on that bike for a purist. That said unless a numbers matching engine/frame (and not sure about that!) is worth a lot of money, It’s overpriced. The numbers and the claim of engine work (if valid) do have value, but if you just want the look, then build a mongrel bitsa!
I still have a set of Hi-Pipes and mufflers for a ‘68FB that I had hoped to find a rolling project A65 for. I miss the one I let go…..
