part # 71-7503 ---1981 T140E Cylinder head--low mileage and rebuilt excellent condition ready to mount if wanted--- has the original 71-7506 intake guides and 71-7202 exhaust guides with the clips. The valves have so little wear they are excellent and will be included. Also has the threaded exhaust ports ( including tight fitting exhaust adapters # 70-9516) -- I can provide all the specification measurements and can email pictures. This head can be supplied assembled or disassembled -- your choice. Asking for offers on this head -- I may want to use it on my project if I don't get a strong offer.

Interesting...

Will an E head work with V carbs...? Or is there more than the angle and mounts an issue in doing so...?

I have an additional T140V engine that needs a head...

Thanks,
Rob

I was going to put AMAL Concentric's on -- I have angled rubber connectors and was going to come up with a adapter to the flange mount. I can measure the intake stubs OD and length if you want-- I think these E heads are intended to mount the AMAL Mark 2 newer style carbs. I'm not clear on what you mean by V carbs.

So the rubber connectors are still going to require an adapter to the flange...? The E head is indeed meant to be used with the later MK II carbs and I am not familiar enough with the mounts to just send the head. Yes, perhaps some measurements would help.

If the straight routing of the mounts would not allow use of the stock air filter housing, that is not a big ta-do.

By V carbs I meant the carbs that come on a '78 T140V... AMAL 930s.

Thanks,
Rob

Robert-- your correct--since this E head is a straight port head, the angled adapters will get the carbs splayed out. But they are for a spigot mount carb type. So, I was thinking, to mount flange style carbs there would also need to be "flanged adapers". Having these parts between the head and the carb will move the carbs further from the head and closer to the air filters. I haven't done any work in this direction as yet so I don't know how successful this would be. Maybe there is a aftermarket part that can angle and adapt? Thus shortening the Carb mounting. I will send pics to the email you have listed.

Bob,
I can check with Dave Madigan to ask if he has ventured into fabricating that type of adapter.

Thanks,
Rob

I can make adapters out of some old Bonne intake manifolds I have. shorten them and sleeve them.
