Thursday i got the news none of us want to hear, my cancer has returned and this time the cancer wins. I have no idea how long I have left but I have a feeling from all the medical related calls I am getting, that it won't be as long as I would like right now? So get out there see what you want to see, do what you want to do, and live that dream while you are able. So take care, peace and love all my friends on Britbike, think of me some time. Kevin

Here's hoping for one of those great miracle stories (happen every day, really).
Either way, I've enjoyed your posts and comments, sorry we never got to meet in person.
Godspeed...

Such bad news Kev, truly sorry to hear. You’ve been here neigh 20 years, and you and the group here has been great. You contributed, and some of us will only have that to recall as we move on also. God speed Kev!!

Kev: I've wanted to take a trip over to your area. Chris Gimmet (sp?) came over to the Norton rallies here and was very engaging to my son so that made him feel as he was a real member of the Norton Owners. I think how you Chris and others represent England, England would be most welcoming. Thank you for the pictures and stories. Take care.

Sad news indeed Kevin. Your photos and yarns over the years have been a true source of entertainment. I regret not getting to meet you and shake your hand..... face to face.
Let us know if there's anything we can do to help on this end.

NO!! Say it aint so.... As said previously , lets hope for that miracle story. Meanwhile ... Listen to the doctors (the ones telling you how to pull through this, not the ones telling you to get your things in order) Do what they say and add in holistic things like absolutely no sugar in your diet. Stuff like that... And please please pull through this... We have plans you and I... Roads to ride and fields to camp in.... Get well !!

Kevin I've heard it said that as long as someone remembers your name you're never truly gone. I think you will be around here for a long time Kev. Still holding out hope of meeting you over a camp fire and downing an ale or two. Mike G

So, I guess you won't be coming to TSMR next year? Shame, I had looked forward to meeting you in person. All good wishes for recovery, miracles do happen.

Jeez brother. Well that's certainly news nobody- least of all you- wanted to hear.
I guess miracles do happen, not that I have a heck of a lot of faith in them... A more realistic hope perhaps, would be you outlive expectations, with some good quality of life between now and the bitter end. I hope we get to twist a throttle together and tip an ale before that time comes, my brother.
Hang in there man, don't let anybody tell you when you're gonna die- make up your own mind on that one and remember: it ain't oveer til it's over.

Kev— we have never met but I have followed your postings firstly on Real Classic and now on Britbike. I have enjoyed your postings ref camping meets but in particular I have enjoyed your photographs and admired your talents in photography. I am so sorry to hear your news about the big C. It is a truism that from the day we are born we are destined to die— it is just that we do not know the when, the how, and the where. Truly none of us is immortal. However philosophy is no comfort when you have heard the news that you have. I know it is cold comfort but all I can say is to keep as positive as you can and enjoy as much as possible whatever time you have left. And for the rest of us- let us not be complacent— none of us know our end. So for all of us—enjoy every day to the max—- because one day it will be our last.

Hy Kevin I just dont know what to say... sorry for not met you more in the past. I remember when you were planing to go for a Kawasaki meet in Germany some years ago. That would have been the chance to invite you to my house and show you the beauty of the area where i live. Looks like we have to do it in another life..... Strange, but i had some unexpected phone calls from several friends the last years.Comes out later that it was meant to be the goodby calls before their death. Cant say that i get used to it....and i think nobody is really prepared or experienced to deal with the death. But i must think of the Mexican cult to celebrate the day of the dead. Nobody is really dead as long the family and friends remember the days alive. Kev, i will certainly keep you in my mind. Dieter
