I am trying to mark an item in the " For Sale " forum as " SOLD " .... it's not working ... what is the procedure ?. Thanks.

I think if you are a base member the ability to edit only lasts 24 hours. Maybe the forum moderator can help you out. Or you could upgrade your membership.

I never did understand why people mark the post SOLD instead of deleting the post.

i use old garage sale posts to see what things are worth and who might have some information about somethibg im looking fot
i just add a new post that says SOLD and forget about it
i'm old enough to remember when patriotism meant not trying to overthrow the government.

David P……I don’t think you can delete a post that has a reply….. no matter what your membership status is.
Just add a reply “sold” like kevin suggested.

Just add a reply “sold” like Kevin suggested. I use old garage sale posts to see what things are worth and who might have some information about something I'm looking for
I just add a new post that says SOLD and forget about it As Kevin has stated, the beauty of NOT deleting the posts is that they serve as a historical fact, that can be used when researching such things as prices and even the correctness of a bike or numerous other pertinent info and specs that people are looking for.

Basic members have 24 hours to edit Premium members have at least a year if I remember correctly You can always report a thread and ask for deletion but enclose a link to the thread
