Does anyone have a picture of how the strap is threaded around the holders and clips? I know the locations of of the strap holders and the clip - but need a little help with how the strap itself is fixed to those items.

The rubber end goes thru both slots and back up thru the top slot in order to stay secure when you put on it to hook the clip to the tray.

That's a challenging one, Too many slots in the clip to make sense.

Mine looks like the first image. In that image the hook of the clip is to the right and the battery side of the clip is below the clip.. This is based on a photo from somewhere that I thought indicated this was how it was done. The second image is from p116 of Bacon's Triumph Twin Restoration and that might be where it came from. I don't have the equivalent BSA book. I've been doing it like this since I setup my bike and its all lost to the sands of time.
