We just had the 37th British in the Blue Ridge rally in north Georgia. It's a shame that they always pick the same weekend as the Triumph National, but I'm not in on the club scheduling. Also a shame that one must reserve camp sites in December or you can't stay on site.
I camped with GaCracker and David from Atlanta, but Marlin and Gumby showed up for supper on Saturday. DPO just drove by in his MGB.
Those guys are all right, but they go to bed when the sun goes down then get up at dawn and want to ride across the mountain for breakfast.
Anyway, the rally bike was a nice 70 TR6, given away on Saturday after the awards ceremony. Over 36 years and I've never won. mad
There were more Commandos in the show than any other model. The best of show went to a Norvin, Vincent engine in a featherbed frame. But, my favorite was the T150 in a Trackmaster frame, 1050cc and the owner says that is useless on the street, too powerful.
Great weather, it didn't rain until I took a ride around the lake before leaving on Sunday.

It's not a bug, it's 'character.'
