I'm looking to buy a speedo and tacho for my 71 A65 but am unsure what type/ratio/serial number is suitable for the bike. Can anyone assist me please? Also can anyone recommend a seller, doesn't matter where. I'm hoping to buy over hauled instruments, cheers Neil

Have you considered electronic gauges? Smiths makes ones that look just like the original mechanical gauges. Pricey, but so are the mechanical ones, and they are not subject to the hassles and potential mechanical failures of cables and drives.

Hi Neil, Take a look at Mike Reilly's site https://mikesclassiccyclespares.com/ He has some NOS gear that is around the same price as rebuilt. POtential issues with NOS are that the lubricant has dried up and they don't last so long. Not an expert on that year, but you'd want the black face gauges I'd expect and the tach is a 3:1 ratio. If you need the numbers I could rustle them up. I think RSM3003/14 for the tach and not so sure about the speedo. Ray
