1969 BSA Lightning. I made the mistake of taking the coil mounts off to replace the coils. There are two 48 mm coils. There are two ears on the frame, two straps for the coils, two thick washers, a spacer, and a single bolt and nut to pass through it all. Does anyone have a picture or diagram of how it all goes together? The only shop
manual I can find online is for ‘66 models, which the coils mount differently. The parts catalog shows nothing that helps either. I looked at washer and spacer marks on the paint of the straps. It looks like it all is supposed to all fit between the frame ears, but doing that, the coils won’t fit into the straps, because they are closed too small of a diameter. Any thoughts?
