Looks OK, certainly no art to it
Could be a bit lower than other unit versions I've seen but thats not unusual.

Thanks everyone, I believe it is a legit number of a 59 Bonnie.
However its a scam as he will not supply frame or gearbox number.
I called him and we spoke then he sent me an email complaining that I ask too many questions.
So I am still on the hunt for a pre unit if any one can help. His phone was Oregon but he said he lived in Sitka, Alaska.

That was the engine number minus the model code. It was not the frame number.
This seller is either one of two types.
Lazy. cant be bothered to supply requested info via email to confirm this as a genuine 59 Bonnie. I find this strange as HE placed the ad to sell. When I pressed him to email me a shot of the frame and gearbox numbers he said that "I ask too many questions" and it was too stressful as the bike was at his deceased Fathers house.
Scammer. has photos of a 59 Bonnie he got off the internet at some stage, he has a shot of the engine number, which he emailed me and it looks to be a genuine number but does not have a shot of the frame number.

You’re probably wise, it’s one thing buying in the same country, but for a ‘59 Bonnie, it won’t be cheap anywhere, so a lot of money involved and plenty of chances for fraud.

I would question this "seller" too. Apparently you know too much about these bikes and it scares him.

A '59 Bonnie is a big-money bike, and if he is complains that you "ask too many questions," wave him off and shop somewhere else.

If you are at all still interested if this is a legitimate sale, if the bike is in Sitka I can attempt to meet the seller in person & take a look at it for you, maybe get some more pictures. I don't see it advertised locally, but it's a small town with minimal exposure so that doesn't mean much.
