I have a 1953 VB Ariel and have just replaced the fork leg oil seals.
My
manual states that "the correct oil level is 17-18 inches below the top face of the top bracket, with the motorcycle unloaded in an upright position".
I have followed the instructions and this puts the oil level at just below where the fork seal fits.
Is this correct? I'm worried that I may have too much oil in the fork leg and possibly cause the seal to blow and leak oil.
thanks
