Hello all,
I may need to replace my ignition switch on the 74 Norton. How do you remove the tumbler to put in the new one. I think I have a line on a new original.
Thanks
jerry

Thankyou very much

Yes those are excellent tidbits.
Next is how to make a missing key. Which I have done several times...

Well I thought I had nothing to lose so I eased the ignition switch apart and cleaned the corrosion out and reassembled.
It works . . . . .for now.
Will be at a swap meet next week to see if I can find another

Mike Taglieri came up with a good fix for these switches (better than new) which involves using epoxy in the spaces between the contacts. I did mine decades ago and it still works fine. Try Googling - I've seen his description reposted in a number of places.

Mikes travels and fixes on his Commando are legendary !
P.S. His recent engine rebuild got him to the rally AND back.
