All we hear about lately, or so it seems, is Adventure bikes, here's my Adventure bike yarn..... wink

Drawing back the curtains I saw what was the makings of a lovely day out there, clear Blue sky and there was the Sun. After a bit of nose bag, I minced out into the fettling shed to draw out my Adventure bike, key in the hole and me kickstart thumb on the kickstart button, and it fired straight up. Quite a surprise really, not been on this machine since August last year, and it had a FULL tank as well, so no need to get ripped off down at the station.... grin

Five minutes early, so time for a quick photo....

Didn't have to wait too long for the rest of today's riders to join me....

Then it was off to the first of two other meeting points, lovely day YES, but big time COLD out there in the lanes, I was proper wrapped up. Had me Adventure coat and pants on, Adventure socks and boots as well, just thinking I'll not be taking too many photos today, when we pulled into the meeting spot, to find it empty. And so off to the last meeting place to be greeted by another lot of lads and lasses....

Then off we set, for today's right was to Brighton, and it was a monumental task getting there, bloody roadworks all over the place, and at one point a train crossed the road, leaving us waiting for the others to catch up, but a photo opportunity.....

Once we'd all got back together we were off once more, and even more roadworks were found, this'll all end in tears as they make the road surface like the face of the Moon. Finally got to Brighton to find out that young Faye Baza's daughter had fallen from her Harley, all due to the bloody road surface, a scratch to the mirror, and a broken brake lever. So more work for Dad to do, once parked we walked over to find the Fish & Chip place....

Woofed that down, then took the coast road to avoid any more roadworks, finally getting to the pub for a light refreshment, then it was homeward bound. Where I was nearly taken out by a sliding Red sports car.... mad

I was at a set of traffic lights, thankfully behind a car, we're turning right. The lights went Green and the car in front stopped dead halfway across the road..? I then heard the screech of tyres as our Hero slid past his Red light with all four wheels locked up, stopping about 3 feet from me, he then quickly slammed the gearbox into reverse, and went back to the line, as if nothing had happened. A right royal R.Sole if ever there was one.... mad

Sorry about the lack of photos, must be getting old, can't seem to function out in that cold air.... wink

Glad that red arse 4wheeler missed you bro... but otherwise sounds like a fine day out... Good to empty that tank of year old gas . so you can fill it up wth the expensive stuff. Oh Brighton smile I have a soft spot for Fish and chips on the beach in Brighton... Young Kev took me there in 2008 when he picked me up at the airport and gave me the tour of southern England before dropping me at Karl and Julie's pre IOM rally.... What a great trip that was!! I believe Brighton was the first time I had mushy peas wink Good stuff

Gotta get back to England... well someday... Italy might have the next "priority" slot tho...
Can't beat that good ole English Ale tho and that's a big 10-4.

Cheers bro.

Made me hungry for fish and chips ... One of the best things about being in NYC is that I can get pretty much anything
