As it's still sort of winter over here, today's run was just for breakfast, the idea being that you make your own way to a suggested Cafe, order up, eat, then IF anyone wants, we carry on with a ride ending up at a watering hole.... thumbsup

Got up this morning and saw that the gloomy skies overhead might be dropping the wet stuff soon, so on with all the gear, and out to drag the FORTY INCHER out and see if it'll give me the nonsense as it did last weekend, but NO, with me size 11 halfway down on the kickstart, it burst into life. SO that's that then, back to normal.... grin

Got about a mile from home down a lovely lane, and thought, BLIMEY it's a tad chilly out today, well that changed to, it's BLOODY Freezing out today, after a further 40 miles. How can it be that cold and the puddles not freeze... confused

Any road up, after a lovely lonely ride going through some quaint Kentish villages, one of which was putting up the Sunday market on the village Green as I passed through. I eventually got to the cafe meeting point....

Far too early as it seems, the place was closed, so I sat on one of the benches outside and waited, got the Crab peeler out to check what was in the E-Mail Yoda had sent me. Only to find I was 1hr too soon, perhaps it's time to get meself some new eyes. The punishment for being that early, was for me to sit there out in that bloody cold, then FINALLY some of the lads showed up, and the lady that owns the cafe, 10 minutes later I had me laughing gear wrapped around this....

That went down like a $10 whore, got me good and warm too, then some decided to bugger off home, and most sat and waited for Yoda to come up with a ride, just a short ride mind, nothing that'll make us too cold. He did just that and we all went out to fire up the bikes....

Then we were off out into them lanes cold but happy.....

That's the ONLY ride photo I took, didn't want to get frostbite taking me glove off to push the button again, sod that, me fingers are STILL tingling even now. Only a short ride of perhaps 30 minutes, but that was enough, then we ended up at a relatively new Micro brewery, parked at the back of a nice Steam train station. No trains were spotted today, but I know they run along the tracks, so ended up enjoying a nice pint here....

Then just as the pint drained a lady walked in asking for help, seems her front wheel drive car was stuck in the mud, she had driven it over the lip of concrete that was the parking area. So we helped push the car out, her sat in it, wheel spinning like mad. This got Yoda covered in mud, and my right leg, my how we laughed.... mad

That'll do for a couple of weeks lads, just hoping the warmth returns soon, you'll know when it does there will be a yarn on the screen..... wink

75 degrees today here in partly sunny Virginia, so it's starting to look more and more like Spring.

Appreciate the pic of the Full English, good to know that folks still know how to do The Right Thing, and good for the lads who got out on the olde bikes ...

Measuring the available barrels and sourcing pistons and rings for the Firebird, and lapping valves and honing cylinders for the Norton, gotten the Guzzi and the new Triumph good and sorted for the upcoming riding season, lots of miles to put on yet before it's time for Tales From The Oxygen Tent ..... !

60s late last week. I took the Trident out for a ride on Friday.
Now it's back to rain and 40s. The prediction is for light snow and 18 degrees by Sunday morning, welcome to Tennessee.
I still have enthusiast friend who are looking for 6V heated garments. laughing

Damn man, Friday it was in the 60s and sunny here. Yesterday we had a massive snow storm that covered much of the East Coast. Forecast called for sunny and 37 degrees (F) today- but it never got above MAYBE 30. Now there's a 90% chance of snow again this afternoon, although no mention of any accumulation.

March is indeed the cruelest month of all.
