I bought this a month ago and plan on a full rebuild.

I want to ride it first to see if there are any glaring issues out on the road but we have 3ft of snow here, so I have to wait patiently until spring.

I know that it has been stood around for quite a few years and I'm surprised at how easy it was to start.

I had a DBD34 Gold Star in 1970 thereabouts. I could relate lots of stories about it. One being where the crankshaft sheared off in the right side case which left me stranded in the middle of nowhere..

I've heard all the horror stories.

This has some upgrades, so I'm hoping that doesn't happen.

Awesome!

Such a great feeling once it actually starts up. Sounds great and looks pretty good from here too. I'm excited to see more. I believe I also enjoyed watching your B33 ride smile

Great to see the enthusiasm!! My DBD has the same carb on it. Prime with about 5 twists and she usually starts in one or two kicks.
