What am I doing wrong!? I have the bolt removed and it still won’t budge!

What year is your B25? Fixed or folding footrests, Canadian bike could be either I suppose?
They differed for home and export models, and for various years...

I have a 1970 b25. Front foot pegs don’t fold up, but rear do. My bike is a weird one as it has an aluminum tank, with a lovely shape! It could simply be an amalgamation of things, but I’m certain this was a North American market bike! I don’t know anyone else with this tank though on a B25!

You have to 'break' the taper on which the foot pegs are mounted.

A rubber mallet or soft face hammer may work. Perhaps a shot of WD-40 or similar first (give it some soak time first). Can you tell if there is any rust present? If this is a restoration and the present paint finish is not an issue, some heat may work. Your goal is to heat the female taper on the foot peg so it expands a bit. Then rap it with the mallet.

Thanks Tom! I’m redoing the frame paint, so if need be, I will use heat. Currently I have some liquid wrench on it, and will leave it overnight! Can’t tell if there is rust or not! Fingers crossed! Cheers, Alex

What specifically worked? Tapping it with a mallet, heat, WD40, a combination of all three?

Always remember the old adage ........ if it moves and it shouldn't , weld it......... if it doesn't and it should, hit it. If it still doesn't, hit it harder.

Hi! I put some liquid wrench on it, let it sit for about 12 hours, applied a bit more, and let that sit for another 12 hours. A couple taps with a soft mallet and it popped off!
