It seems I remember this set up and mounting procedure from a post a few years back, was that your post and if so do you have a link to that thread?

Had to be my post, we made them. The fussing is the time and effort to get the plate mounted/oil lines run as you wish. It's not a quick process, and best done with a bike in resto or work period. Not rocket science, just time on and off getting things right. The bolts you see above and below the peg mount need to be replaced with longer bolts and spacers sourced to get the correct plate position for line clearance. Not too hard if you mess with Brit bikes, but not a slam dunk. Other aftermarket filters are available to do the job. My intent was to make it as hidden as possible and still use a convenient spin on filter. It lives above the center stand, this one shown on a TR6C. On a normal low pipe bike, with a black filter it has passed the "Triumph expert observers" who stop to critique at a show.
