I have decided on a change of direction for my Pendine sands racer Llareggub.
I was intending to convert a grass track bike but I have struggled with the ground clearance, the fact it only has a 2 speed gearbox and a tiny fuel tank.
I have ordered a Rickman Metisse frame, This will give me the option of racing at pendine without the front brake fitted, fitting a front brake to race at Elvington over the mile, half mile and 2K. I will also be able to race at twisty sprints.
Although the chassis, gearbox and wheels are British, the engine is from central Europe, a Czech Jawa 500 single with approx 75bhp

How many of you know the origin of the name Llareggub?
