On A65 srm oil pump can the tach drive be replaced due to one of the tabs being broken off? The tach did fail and was sent Nisonger for rebuild had a fair amount of metal filings in it after it failed. Can a failing tach break the tabs or was the T-piece on the the timing cover not properly aligned on the cover when the pump was installed?

SRM does sell the worm scroll separate from the pump.
The tach seizing could have broke the tab. Hard to say what the weakest link is.
You have to check the tach drive pin alignment to answer that question.
