Great news! Vol 1 is one of my favourite bike books, exceptionally well written, with loads of first hand information from those involved. Just ordered this new one and very much looking forward to seeing it.

Not giving anything away, but how lovely, very well written, impossible to not bust out laughing at the first hand experiences and stories of racing the twins.

I love the way a basic 650 race motor was 65-66hp. And the speed of the well sorter A50s,I never knew they were that fast. And knowing a 90degree crank can eliminate so much of the vibration makes you wish for a Tardis.
I know exactly what they were facing with the argument on how many light globes. One good 60/55 halogen gone in a few seconds with a bit of a rev up over 7,500 riding in the day with the light on.
