I had a great time. I'm blessed to ride with MASTERS. Like a Blue Angels squadron.
That parabolic lens makes my suet bag look big...
Our new friend Mark was fun to hang out with too.

It was indeed a great pleasure to ride with friends again.. Great bunch of guys.. Good food great roads and a few beverages...Not to mention a lot of laughs over the weekend...

I got there on Friday afternoon to find Bill at the hotel . I had already found part of the main group leaving the restaurant of the BIG burger... So they knew I had made it to town...

Bill's bikes are lovely and that A10 is now on my wish list

Richard has a way with the waitresses .... We all get great service and wow what a meal
[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

Bill does a little fettling before breakfast ... Lucky Bill found a Motoblat dealer in Coudersport to replace his dead battery.
[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

Bill has some competition in the eating department
[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

Bill does a little more fettling after breakfast... This time fuel line and speedo cable ... But both bikes run a treat ... Id have either one...

Our first stop on our lovely ride was the Austin Dam. I had never heard of it before but it was a bad scene in 1911. The poorly built dam broke and killed 78 people and devastated the town of Austin. Its quite sobering to see the huge pieces of concrete that got pushed around in the torrent...

It wouldn't be the OSMR without our usual stop at the Black Forest Inn for lunch... Although it was getting closer to dinner time ... Had a very tasty local IPA from New Trails Brewery out of Williamsport.... Very tasty indeed... Although I discovered that we were only 9 miles from a fantastic restaurant that I ate at a month ago, so I think that we may break tradition next year if the gang approve of the switch

Bill couldnt squeeze the whole prepaid amount into his own tank so he tried to squeeze the rest into mine... It almost worked .. I only got 50 cent back in change.
[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

Event though we had such a late lunch we snuck in another steak dinner at the Motel's restaurant... It was also very tasty and Richard chatted up the waitress again and she told us her woes and her future which sounds as though she wont be serving us next year if she has her way....
[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

Another evening/night downing a few drinks back at our rooms and I was probably not the best company as the juorney and the days ride caught up to me and I was falling out of my chair tired... As in "checking my eyelids for holes"

I think everyone called it quits by 12:30 or so ... The plan was to have an early breakfast before we parted ways...

[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

BIll didnt have any fettling to do so I rushed my shower so people were waiting for me ... Although they were ... A quick jaunt to the fantastic diner down the road and another fine breakfast was consumed.

This is where some of us parted ways and the rest went back to the motel to load up and pack.... Bill let take the A10 for a ride and I will tell you that is one fine motorcycle... I really do need to have an A10 some day .... Maybe after I get some of my current project done .... Unless one falls in my lap .... So many bikes and so little time...

If you have not been to the OSMR then you are missing out of a fantastic time .... Be there or be square !!!

Thank you Wade!!!!!

Looks like wonderful weather.

I’ve been in construction most of my adult life. Cast in place concrete is my area of expertise…..if I had to pick one. That Austin dam is sobering. Hit and miss rebar placement, cold joints on top of cold joints and the base isn’t on any type of footing at all…….just some rebar driven into the ground. I’m glad they decided to save it and the site.

I missed another one.

Take care and maybe our paths will cross next spring.

over the years I have gone from taking pics of bikes to pics of inmates. I noticed a while back while looking at pictures from mid ohio and blowing rock that some of you look different now.?

This year I talked my stepson Mark into joining us, mainly because he had a new truck to pull the trailer. It is a tribute to your tolerance for welcoming him, as not only did he ride a hardly, but it had three wheels.

and so, in no particular order I present,,,,

I’m having trouble figuring out who’s riding what. I recognize several of the bikes but…….I don’t see what I would have thought Steve or Mike would have been riding.

Bill I got. Richrd too. But I see modern (ish) with NH plates……makes me think Bob? If so was Mike on Bob’s Norton?

I know…….if I would just had been there.

Thanks fellows. Just didn’t see Steve’s beautiful bike and it usually stands out in a crowd. Mikes repaint…….I probably saw it at Windy’s but didn’t realize it was the same bike.

I'll try it out this weekend... Looking at images on line though , it looks like it should fit... Time will tell...
