Thanks for bringing this to my attention Richrd.... I certainly hope to make it... I just lost my ticket money for Mid Ohio though thinking nothing was going to stop me ,,but work did ... so there.... I will do everything I can to make the One State though as it is indeed a great event with great roads and even greater friends....

Ah!

Wade mentioned this to me today and I was like.... um what? September 11 is my birthday however, and Cynthia, blessed soul that she is, bought us tickets to see King Crimson in Washington DC on the 11th. My sister is in the U.S. for a month from Aug 20 to Sept 24, and she & I will head to the beach (in NC) Sunday the 12th... we'll spend some time with our brother who is living nw in Wilmington- probably eat our way around that lovely little town and kick back in Wrightsville in the interim.

so no OSMR for me then, this year- not even a hot day ride up & back.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, Entertainment is ramping back up little by little so there's W-O-R-K again. Just did Guns N Roses with Wolfgang Van Halen's band Mammoth opening! whee! A darn sight better than some of the stuff we work. I DO hope to get a few days' riding in around PA before it gets too cold to ride tho.

Cheers, guys!

I'm still attending BUT, I don't have a vintage bike right now I trust enough to ride up there. The plan was to have my B44R Rig ready but that's not going to happen. Had to many ahead of it that needed attending to. I am getting through them but I'm not going to have the Rig ready buy the first of next month.

So...........I'll probably trailer up and bring something vintage. I have a couple of options that should make 200 miles......and worst case they don't and I go get the trailer.......and bring it back home.

I have a modern cruiser....it's made the trip but it really doesn't fit in with the spirit of the event.

It is a REALLY nice ride up on two wheels so I'm going to really miss that.

Thought I'd go ahead and man up since I made a challenge and had to back out of it.

Hopefully.......there's next year. See you guys there.

Steve wanted to ride in........fingers crossed he still can.

Yea at this point it looks like a trailered event. I've done that before so no big deal. When I've taken 2 wheels the route I take up is beautiful......guess I could do it with the trailer but it wouldn't be the same and why bother........super slab until you can't.

Being there is the important part.

I'll set up my room tomorrow.

Hate that Bob won't be there.

Gordon

Oh I'll make it one way or another. My problem is not having to trailer, planned on that anyway so I can bring 2 bikes. It's making sure my old truck is up to the task. If not I'll be riding my new Triumph out.

It wouldn’t be the same for me if he wasn’t there. To many empty seats as it is.

Gordon who knows the smart thing is to trailer but is really struggling with that idea. I’ve never been accused of being smart.

I need to make a reservation ... I have a friend and maybe his girlfriend that wanna come ... Is it OK if I invite them??? He might be on a pre unit Triumph if reguler 60's triumph isnt rebuilt by then... Laurelwood Inn on the weekend of the 11th? Is that the time/place?
