The American Motorcyclist Association’s annual motorcycle celebration will return to Mid-Ohio, July 23-25, 2021. Your ongoing patience is deeply appreciated as we have navigated through the challenges that 2020 has presented.

Tickets purchasers on file who purchased their tickets from Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the 2020 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days originally scheduled for July 10-12, 2020 will receive an automatic deferral of their tickets to the 2021 event. This also includes those who purchased other event passes such as tent or motorhome camping. No action is required. New tickets will be issued for the 2021 event closer to the event dates.

Should you have any additional questions, please contact [email protected]. Please stay safe and healthy as we all continue to navigate the global COVID-19 pandemic. We look forward to seeing you in 2021 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course!

Officially scheduled, but the situation may not improve quickly enough. And even though they have had our money to play with all year, will they spend any to any degree to make this event worth attending??? As if any of the funds from last years ticket sales is even still available.

Yes you do detect an air of aggressive distrust, the last several years have been less and less enjoyable. Dealing with sub-human attendees that entitled themselves to camp encroachment, throwing trash on our site, deflating our bike tires, acting like they came from a condemned trailer park and this was the first time they got drunk.

Diminished facilities for attendees, less events and entertainment, and the racing? While still noisy, not entertaining. I thought this was vintage Motorcycle days??? Yes the Ashland flat track races are still the same and well run, but this is only the only one.

The swap meet remains big and diverse but is overly populated with Japanese bikes & HD stuff. Plus deals are really HARD to find. And you are in danger of being run down by bikes & quads driving the aisles.

I know this is more about meeting up with the people we enjoy seeing, and that can't be affected by AMA or the dirt bags. But attendance is of those is also down and That is the sad truth...

I've never been a fan of Mid-Ohio for several of your reasons. I'm going to the Gilmore Museum classic bike show/event this year. June 12, 13, as I recall. Classy place, fun, some decent vendors and dealing going on. No racing, unfortunately.

I share Ron's critique of MidOhio these days; on the other hand, it's hard to resist seeing everyone!

I just noticed the "Farmville" location on your profile ... I'm "Appomattox", myself, so we're the only two within 50 miles of here!

Hat is off to you Sir, if you're making that long a journey. Yes, truly classy joint... could spend a week there with internal combustion-related distractions. Tremendous museum(s), well staffed with savvy docents, gorgeous settings. Allegedly more in storage and in works than on display.

Lone bad point is that Blue Moon is the only beer available there.

Kinda apples/oranges comparing with Mid-Ohio though. Swap meet is, well, at least a good excuse for visiting...

I hope to be there for at least one day. Mid Ohio isn't that far from me an hour ride or so I think. Maybe I'll talk to Bill first as he usually goes. Would like to meet Wade and a few others I haven't met yet

Well as life throws curve balls, I'm not going to make Mid Ohio this year. So I have a weekend pass with two entry tickets and camping pass up for sale. $160 is what I paid and will take offers. Bill Edwards may be taking one of the entry tickets..

I need an entry ticket, not camping though. If you're not moving them as a package, I'll have yours ...

Someone needs to buy Ron’s camping pass so we have some actual real estate. I have upgraded trailer size and other vehicles is gonna need a place to park. Otherwise, gonna be crowded and guess who gets priority if we have only one camping pass…..

Just say in’.

Going for the first time this year with a buddy. Will be there Saturday. Any tips for newbs? Should we take bicycles to get around?

Bicycles are good for around the swap meet. Pit bike pandemonium rules the rest of the event.

I'll be racing my '70 Bonneville.

Is something going to be different this year at the swap meet?

Like Ron said in his original post, one of the real downsides to MidOhio is the continuous noisy, smoky, dusty traffic jam of motorcycles and four-wheelers clogging every aisle and pathway of the 80-acre swap meet area. I've never seen such a thing as a bicycle at the swap meet, but there will be thousands of pit-bikes, kids revving the nuts off of Honda 50 mini-bikes, old men on Trail 90s, families on quads, and everything else riding up and down the rows of swap tables and kiosks.

I know it's a motorcycle event, and I appreciate people's enjoyment of motorcycles, but you can't hear yourself speak to make a deal at a swap table, and you constantly have to step out of the way of bikes riding up and down, up and down, up and down, up and down, up and down, up and down ......

I wish they'd disallow them except for mobility scooters for old or disabled folks. It would make the whole experience at lot more pleasant ....

I always walk, and I'm no athlete. Keeping up with a bicycle would seem to me to be more hassle than it would be worth. You'll do 3 or 4 miles if you do as much of the swap meet as you can do on a Saturday, but it's slow and easy walking.

Giant hats are in evidence everywhere; it could be cool and showery or as hot and humid as the Amazon jungle, so UV lotion, hats, and clothing as required for your own level of sensitivity. Water and sodas are available for a reasonable price at half-a-dozen spots. Food is available about a 1/2 mile walk from the swap meet down nearer the track, and it's pretty good, but there's usually a line so I just bring my own.

I generally stay away from crowds but I make an exception for MidOhio.
