Hi all, I'm looking to buy all the necessary specialty tools for an engine rebuild and restoration of an early unit 500. I don't have a particular list but I know there's Whitworth wrenches, pullers, drivers, maybe a degree wheel, engine stand if they make em? Thanks!

Yes, I assume he has a bike and wants to work on it…………. What is IT is the question? Aside from “ a unit 500 “, not much to go on to help him out don’t you agree?

I agree; although it's not going to vary by too much between the relatively few possibilities that would be "early" 500 unit twins, I wouldn't think (as far as tools go)

Despite a degree of hijacking, a certain amount of useful info as regards BS/W spanners and sockets came to light on the Spanners and such thread on Members Bike Projects

Thanks for the replies everyone. I have a '61 TR5AR and I'm considering working on a '61 TR5AC concurrently. I like the idea of having the two one hit wonders side by side. I plan to use the tools for a couple other projects down the line however. Right now I have a full tool chest but it's mainly SAE and metric and Honda specialty tools. That's why I'm looking for the items listed above. Appreciate the help!
