These are the pics Stuart posted.
They can be seen when they are the newest post in a thread via the Active Threads view, but disappear as soon as they lose latest post status and you have to hit Read More to see them.
Might help Morgan suss out what's happening.

Addendum.
It's the link re-write issue. Both original links have 'Lucas' in the URL.
Lucas must be a re-write target word.
For some reason in the Active Threads view it's not being re-written.

Your conclusion is correct. The word Lucas is used as a active link.
Instead of hotlinking images to other site its better to create a text link or upload the image to britbike.

When hotlinking to other site it will only be visible as long as the image stays there or until they decide to disable hotlinking.

hot linking uses less britbike server space . ( the image IS on someone else's cloud and the door is open )
I guess sharing is passe . and there must be a fence around everything .

you are promoting a problem where britbike must pay for its own image space
which Forces your costs up
Which puts you in the spot of asking the very content contributors
to also pay for their contributions .
this does not seem like the best way to generate content and thereby traffic .

this may be the future of the internet , BUT it does not look bright to me .

Britbike forum is nowadays supported by some members and some companies.
We do not promote gamble sites, porn, date sites and other none British motorcycle related stuff we only promote BritBike related stuff.
If not there would not be any BritBike forum anymore.
Why.. well back in 1996 when it started it was all fun but very expensive.
I paid from my own pocket the equivalent of a good looking BSA A65 every year and I did all the work running the whole shebang.
At some point it was not worth it ask my wife why she couldn't go on holiday cause I had to pay that A65 again and again..
I try to keep the shebang balanced and have restricted some features to basic membership and offer more to those who contributes with $2.00 per month or $24/year.
