BLUF....Bottom Line Up front:

Yes, this is a British motorcycle forum but many of us dabble in more than just British bikes and I don't feel like joining any other forums, as I am on enough already.

With that said, I am looking to buy an 18" rear wheel with shouldered aluminum rim for a Yamaha XS650. If anyone has one or can point me to someone that has one, that would be great? I'm tired of searching eBay and looking at more aftermarket junk than actual correct usable parts.

Yamaha XS650 Forum, Classifieds board. Should be able to find what you want from a junker to a show rim. I’ve got some but they are not pretty.

gggGary ( on Yamaha XS Fourm) should be able to help you, tell him Gordon in NC sent ya.

Some XS650s........Gordon

New ones available at Mikes XS .......but one of the beauties about the model is there are lots of very nice used parts out there ( thank you bobber/cafe fans) that sell for very reasonable prices. gggGary is a straight up kinda fellow, easy to deal with and very knowledgeable.

Thank you Gordon, I actually am a member of that forum and have definitely seen his name and a few posts. I just wanted to start here first. However, I will invoke your good name with him. Thanks again for the pointer.

I don’t know about a good name but I’ve dealt with Gary and he’s one of the good guys. You know the site.......post a WTB and you should be able to find what you’re looking for. I have some here but that darn clear coat they used on them gets to looking pretty ratty.

I need to let my XSs go. It’s been fun and I absolutely love them but I’m running out of space again so I need to move all that stuff. I’ll just have to deal with sellers remorse one more time. BTDT

Good luck.

Will do Gordon but the front wheel I have sourced is unpainted aluminum and if all I need to do is cut through some clear coat, I would definitely be interested in one of your wheels. Have sandpaper...will sand grin

Let me look in the "shed". All I got in the shop are rims......can't remember why. But there has to be some complete wheels in the shed.

I'll check tomorrow when I get in from work.

Jon, I looked last night and I don’t have anything worth sending to you. I musta gone through a phase because I have more rims than complete wheels. My extras came off rollers....rough rollers. Sorry.
