Basically completed my second B441 VS rebuild. This one I have done as close to original as sensible, but am stuck on tyres, in particular the front.

The first rebuild I fitted a 21" rim to the front so I rebooted with Kenda 270s front and back, very happy with them, and very suitable for what we have that masquerades for roads, often loose gravel and dusty and rough. I have done trials sections easier than the lane to my house.
I would love to fit the Kendas again but no 19" front!
I presently have a Dunlop K70 on the rear and it is profoundly unsuitable.

Anybody with any ideas? (and availability)

Thanks Jon, yeah I've been looking at them as well, mainly the 244 series. but still bothered about the sizing. On the front it goes down to only 2.75 and while I am happy enough with the back being a little squirrely the front breaking away on the loose dusty stuff bothers me......... but would I notice 1/4 inch?

On the back the 244 would have to be 4.10 rather than 4.00, naff all difference I suppose, but I am finding 4.00 does not give much clearance as it is.

I am so tempted to go with the 2.75-19 Shinko front and the Kenda 270 4.00-18 on the rear, but I keep reading conflicting advice on mixing brands, some say it don't matter a damn, others compare it the harbinger of the end of days.

Oh the angst!

Used Shinko's on a lot of bikes in the past. Best high mileage on any of my sport tourers. Yamaha FJR and and bigger bikes. Proved to be as good as or better then the higher priced brands. Never had them on my Triumph or BSA. But worth a try.

I sourced Dunlop K82s for my recent B25 restoration. I've only put a few miles on the bike, but they look and ride great thus far. I do believe the bike originally came with a K70 in the rear, but those aren't made in the size I need anymore.
