Hi, I,m trying to find a set of handlebars like what is on this bike, other then having the cable guides, which i can only find on bsa parts catalogue 5118 for 1965 models on pages 72 and 73, these on were bent during fall, so i ordered new ones 40 years ago from nicholson brothers in canada, when i received them i found they were made by Wassell and about a inch taller and had a different pullback. they were ok but still was more happy with these old ones.
Now doing second restore just trying to duplicate once more, The p/n,s would be 42-4994 or 68-4960,

They look like the LF Harris ones that I have for my bike, they were the only ones I could find with the right bends in them. Though they are not drilled/tapped for the cable guides (but aiui they stopped using them by 68 anyway)
(Some old photos, the bike doesn’t look like this now so can’t really do any better ones for you)
Now let’s all have a beer 68’ A65 Lightning “clubman” 71’ A65 823 Thunderbolt (undergoing restoration) 67’ D10 sportsman (undergoing restoration) 68’ D14 trials (undergoing transformation)

It did look like this ![[Linked Image]](https://www.britbike.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/ubb/download/Number/11146/filename/68 Lightning US spec.jpg) ] and now it looks like this ![[Linked Image]](https://www.britbike.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/ubb/download/Number/11145/filename/IMG_0164.JPG) At some point I'll get bored and revert to the western styling again and transfer all my clubman trim to the Spitfire Bitsa project.
