third tank has been prepped for chroming but that's as far as it got. This is a good tank to be all paint $125 + shipping

It appears to me to be a 1966-67 A50 and A65 tank, probably for a "Lightning"

The clues I see are the mounting for the plastic tank badge and the mount for the earlier "flip up" gas cap.

A view of the underside of the tank might tell us more...."Lightnings" had welded in "tunnel' recesses to clear fuel lines from the petcocks to the dual carburetors.

I'm having one of those "memory" moments but I'm pretty sure Alex ( remember him?) told me that early A65 tanks would fit on a C15C framed BSA unit single........I wonder?
