My B44R has an oil leak. The oil comes out on the second fin of the cylinder on the left side of the motor. I haven't ridden the bike for over 2 years but I started starting it up every week or so. I don't remember when the leak started but at some point in the past I added a MAP oil filter. It's plumbed in on the return line after the oil manifold. It recently occurred to me that the oil leak might be caused by the oil filter forcing too much oil to the rockers. What do you BSAers think? BTW the bike is still for sale.
The rocker shaft has a natural restrictor hole of about 40 thou, filter will not over ride this unless being close to being blocked. I feed my rockers off the feedside through a disabled OPRV valve and that does not over oil the top end.
