Is you get to know and like a lot of people that you can never meet. PeteR paid me a compliment once and I will always regret I never printed it out. I'm not real good with the search feature, but it had something to do with my ablity to use the least amount of words to make a point. If anyone can help me find this I will be grateful.

If you put both PeteR and Desco in the search field half a dozen posts turn up. None of them seem to be what you're looking for. Maybe PeteRip may be able to help?

Mission not accomplished I'm afraid Desco, but it did give me an excuse to stay up all night reading PeteR's posts, and what informative posts they are. Only John Healy has that level of knowledge.

And he had the ability to explain complex subjects in a way even I could understand. Maybe he sent me a personal mesg. There are a lot of people out there I would like to shake hands with and say "Thanks for the help". I hope every one reads this.

Is you get to know and like a lot of people that you can never meet. Amen. I've thought about the weirdness of having in some cases 25-year relationships with people I've never met. That's longer than I've been married to my present wife! I was thinking, maybe it would be good to have a "Post a Picture of Yourself" thread. Then at least we'd know what we all look like.

But isn't it just a case of what goes round, comes round. Sometimes what we say isn't always completely right - despite the best intentions, but there is always somebody there to add the missing bits or fix your post. Done with respect and courtesy, no offence intended or taken, and that's the nature of forum help.

[ I was thinking, maybe it would be good to have a "Post a Picture of Yourself" thread. Then at least we'd know what we all look like.
Look at this thread. It's tough enough to get folks to even put up a stock avatar photo. I guess I'm the exception, even the folks who post something personal usually put up a cartoon image or a picture of their bike, not of themselves. It's even worse on FarceBook, there are more pictures of people's dogs than of the people. I've had the good fortune to meet several folks from this group at rallies, but not because I ever saw their picture. Usually it's, "I'll be riding a 69......... we're staying at......."

I can think of little i would like less than a gallery of seized up old farts as most of the blokes on here would be. Visions of the 'chamber of horrors' come to mind........................... It may be a better idea to get them to post pictures of their daughters? or even grand-daughters. Ok, you asked for it....My avatar is changed.. grand daughter on my Harley around 2002...Took her for a ride ,no helmets, lol....

This is actually a fairly close representation. Especially during Texas "love bug" season.
