Hi Desco, Fun video, thanks for posting!

According to AMAL, they are the carburetor of Records & Successes...

I really don't know about that, but I recently got an new AMAL Premier for my '73 Tiger 750 & have been most happy with it. One thing to note on the new Premiers is the static float level is way higher, on mine it's horizontal with, above the bowl gasket surface, not .070" below. However the actual liquid fuel level is the same with the higher static float setting. If you lower float the liquid level will be low.

Contacting AMAL direct they will assemble carb slide, jets, top to your specs at no extra charge, plus very easy to work with via email. Most US sellers don't want to do that. AMAL direct price with shipping is no more than US sellers with free shipping. I wanted to buy from US seller, but they didn't want to make changes.

4-5 years ago AMAL was sending out carbs with metal chips or whatever in them, but seems they are doing very good on assembly now. They are also now selling .1065 needle jet for a bit of richer mixture if needed, when a .107 might be too rich.

Very good to hear that AMAL have got their quality control issues sorted. The Premier carbs are excellent products and it was a real shame they were let down by careless QC.

Looks like Thunder conrods are also well recommended by their use in this amazing 650 speed record bike - another British engineering business making top quality stuff!

If anything other than a blank space is visible here, something's wrong.

The AMAL GP's on his nitro fueled engines are not your everyday AMAL...What is amazing is Alp's nitro engine make in excess of 120 HP and uses Triumph crankshafts...He has another naked frame racer with an ironhead that ran over 170 MPH...He now uses MAP made in USA rods, the 170 mph Ironhead has Concentric carbs and Hepolite pistons..Think about that for a moment, some here can't get a stock engine to run properly with AMAL Concentrics grin
