I would not entertain used rods. A pair of new rods is cheaper than a leg out of bed
I buy new aluminium rods from thunder engineering for my bikes, cost about Â£360-380 for a matched pair and excellent quality! The weight is the same as the 1970 on type rods so it could match your crank balance too.
I also had my crank nitrited following an oil starvation issue, polished the bad journal and it for treatment. Replaced the rod on that side too. Thunder matched the rod from their date code so the weight was uneffected.
I did polish a set of rods which were going into a friends engine, as they didn’t want to fit new units.
