All right you guys, all this puffing up and squaring off and stiff-legging around is gonna give someone the idea that maybe he might have to exceed North Carolina speed limits, and you KNOW we wouldn't want that .... !! Lannis They plan to do it all on the Tennessee and Virginia legs of the ride.... Oh, well, that's all right then!

I just had a thought, Mike, remember that little road you and grammpy followed me on last year? or two years ago? wouldn't that be the perfect road for Bob and his r3?

I better not bring the rocket three - it’s too darn fast. Bob says he has a small Yamaha that will go by it like it's standing still That's what they all think until you downshift and open the triple up. Shift into fifth at the ton. Those rice riders usually give up at a little over 100mph. Just my experience. Bob never said that. Canoe Paddle Mike did..... " Those rice riders usually give up at a little over 100mph." :bigt

I seem to recall that bob was going to give someone a riding lesson on there road a few years ago. that one didn't go to well so i would no worry to much about it. Bob says he has a small Yamaha that will go by it like it's standing still I don't recall ever stepping into the classroom... Offer is still open.... :bigt Love to learn new stuff.. Life is all about learnin... Gumby is a good teacher.... the iPad on the dash with zoomed in GPs maps to help set up for corners was a cute trick.

that may be, but that little 350 will get to 100 quick enough to stop and smoke a cigar waiting for the triple.
and there aint no place on that road where ANY bike will hit 100

Hurrah. Got the week off.
Probably trundling off to TWOs on Monday. BlueRidge Motorcycle Camp Ground on Tuesday. Windy's on Wednesday. Blowing rock on Friday.
Remains to be seen what I'll be riding.
Have a basic plan and then let life fill in the blanks.

remember our conversation about bringing spare parts for an emergency box? everybody bring something that may be needed in a breakdown. I'll bring a couple of coils and some odd cables. maybe a AMAL need clip or two. What else?

maybe a amal need clip or two. What else? Good idea. I know I've got working Zeners and a rectifier and some cables and stuff on the shelf ... I'll chuck some in a bag and bring them along .... Lannis
