Can't help with the Fishtail article but the subject or remagnetising is covered on the board in this thread

and closer to the detail

You could PM Magnetoman and ask him for advice.

Ian the article is not in Fishtail issue 257 (though there is an article on BTH mags).
EDIT:
Aha, here it is, in Fishtail 259. PM me if you want me to email you a scan of the article.
Cheers,
Jools

To clarify this... The original article was in FT 256, 15 pages, there's a 4-page follow-up article in FT259.

Hi Jools,
I would be more than grateful if you would send me a copy of the magnetizer article to which this conversation refers. I have 2 x BTH Maggys, one of which is mine, and one belongs to an elderly friend, and they both have very weak magnets. I have worked with electronics for many years and I have a mill and lathe, so I feel quite confident that I will be able to build one. my email address is dm at carolynmaher dot com dot au. I would do this by PM, but for me at least the forum says they are disabled.

Cheers

I also would be very interested in seeing this article. Ideally the original and the follow-up. I am finding it very difficult to access the older Fishtail mags. Not sure if the servers still exist.

The pm system tells me also that it is disabled.

There seems to be an issue with PM's for new members, add a post to this thread

and Morgan will sort you out.

Mike, I do not have authorisation to redistribute this Fishtail material. Sorry to be 'officious' about it, (and it probably doesn't matter in the scheme of things), but I've been screwed on copyright issues in the past, and my work was effectively, stolen.
If anyone feels like 'clearing' the rights to redistribute, I'm happy to post or send the files.
