I guess that all of us have seen video of that idiot running over the Harley and its two occupants in Florida.
This is why I always head out of town whenever I ride around here. Too many morons just like that guy driving around Nashville. Except that most of them are just not paying attention.
We've had more motorcycle fatalities already this year than in ALL of last year.

Yeah whtf. Not seen it but heard about it. Don't know what gets into people, but one thing's for sure- most videos only show so much. No telling what all went on to lead up to this.

Here's a news story on it with a small amount of back story and video of the incident.

Of course, it's not always the other guy.
Last night some idiot was racing on I-24, lost control and hit the guard rail.
And about a month ago some moron was doing about 130 when semi cut him off.
Be safe, people.

I'll bet there were some words and finger waving, etc, prior to the incident.

Car vs motorcycle ends up only one way, so, folks, control your anger on the road. Accept that there will be some real jerks on the road and if they are that bad, make sure you're both off your vehicles before you have words.

Cheers,

Bill

The guy in the car that tried to kill the bikers was (it turns out) a career criminal, and well known to the police already.

By the time someone makes the news and is going to trial with jail time behind it, it's safe to bet that they have multiple felonies, suspended sentences, parole violations, and a trail of hurt and injured people behind them .... always the way it is ....

The "slow" is because it takes them 20 seconds after the light has changed to raise their eyes up from texting and say "Oh, the light is green, I'd better go."

And then the next one in line does the same, and the next ...

Admittedly its a poor defence ,

Another reason I keep my windows rolled up when I drive, they can't hear what I'm calling then when they do something stupid.
Most times on the bike I'm too busy getting out of the way to say anything, or even hit the horn.
I see somebody inventing a horn trigger which responds to tense muscles, especially in the groin area.
