Does anyone know what the resistance should be for Lucas 12 volt coils? I want to test a couple of coils and I have found several different resistance values. A test procedure woulod be appreciated. Thanks

The two I have measure 4.2 ohms using a reasonably accurate DMM.
The secondary measures over 5K ohms.
